Choose the correct type of count

The standard difference measures elapsed time. Inclusive counting includes both the start and end dates. Weekdays provide a basic workday reference.

How to count days between dates

Elapsed time is calculated by subtracting the start date from the end date. Cuantalia uses calendar days to avoid daylight-saving differences and returns a positive result even when the dates are reversed.

Standard count

From day 1 to day 2 is one day

The main result measures elapsed time, so consecutive dates are one day apart.

Inclusive count

When both endpoints count

For bookings or deadlines that include the first and last day, use the inclusive result.

Frequently asked questions

Do weekdays exclude public holidays?

No. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded, but holidays vary by country and must be deducted separately.

What if I enter the later date first?

The calculator uses the absolute difference, so the number of days is the same in either order.

Does the result include the start date?

The main result measures elapsed days. A separate inclusive result counts both dates.

Does it work with leap years?

Yes. The actual calendar is used, including February 29.
